Healthcare professionals and experts will come together on Tuesday 26 January, 7.00pm to 8.30pm, to share information about COVID-19 vaccines, and dispel some common myths and misconceptions among residents.

The online event, led by the council’s Race Equality COVID-19 Steering Group, will give residents in the city an opportunity to find out more about how the jabs work. It is open to everyone throughout the city, with the Steering Group particularly interested in hearing voices from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, among whom take-up of the flu vaccines has been significantly lower.

Key speaker Dr Rajeka Lazarus, Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at University Hospital Bristol & Weston, will be joined by a panel of local healthcare, public health and community professionals.
