Advocacy

Under the Care Act, any disabled adult undergoing a care and / or financial assessment, or wanting to launch an appeal against a financial or care assessment, is entitled to the support of an advocate.

WECIL are saddened to let our community know that from 01st January 2022 we will no longer be providing advocacy services for Bristol citizens. We are very proud of the support we have offered to disabled people navigating the process of a care assessment, care review or financial assessment for over almost as long as WECIL has been operating. We have supported hundreds of disabled people to access the care and support they are entitled to and have their views and wishes heard and thank all the advocates who have worked so hard to make this happen.

How to access support

POhWER Advocacy, the new provider appointed by Bristol City Council will commence delivering service from 1/1/2022.
